Tobacco industry
K&W Transmissies has developed, among others, a special roller chain with special extended pins, which is suitable for transporting loose tobacco products such as shag.
In the tobacco industry so-called Apron dryers are often used. These dryers condition the tobacco. The chains, generally mounted in parallel and connected by cross members, must be provided with hinge parts of the correct size to ensure optimal rolling resistance. K&W Transmissies has successfully completed several projects in the field of paper roll transport and the paper roll handling in vertical carousel systems.

These chains must operate in a dusty environment, which means the chains often have to be lubricated with a special lubricant. Furnace construction industry
K&W Transmissies has a great deal of expertise and experience in developing special conveyor and drive belts for industrial furnace construction.
Industrial furnace construction involves, in particular, the transportation of goods at high temperatures. These high temperatures make it challenging to maintain the durability of the chains. Often special heat-resistant materials are used, taking into account the dimensional tolerances of the chain components. Moreover, choosing the correct chain lubrication requires certain knowledge and experience. K&W Transmissies has a great deal of expertise and experience in developing special conveyor and drive belts for industrial furnace construction.
Power plants
K&W Transmissies, with its own and external R&D engineering departments, has developed solutions for unique conveyor and drive systems for various power plants.
The conveyor systems focus specifically on material handling such as bringing materials to the incinerator, disposal of ash and waste material or supplying biomass for fermentation plants. These installations are indeed customer specific. Customers of K&W Transmissies include companies in the cement industry, coal-fired power plants, paper, compost, food, chemicals and general machinery industries.
