Forged chains - anti-wear bushings
The links of these chains can be supplied complete with a steel bush made of material X120 Mn 12 or 55 Si7. Dimensions according to DIN 1498 with the following properties:
- high abrasion resistance
- longer service life of the chain
- simple disassembly and assembly.
Forged fork link chains - scrapers
The scrapers for the drop forged chains can be produced in welded designs for construction for horizontal and oblique transport.
The scrapers are available in different versions: square or rectangular, as well as flat, curved in a “U-shape”, curved in a “C-shape”, or curved in a double “O-shape”. This “O-shaped” curved scraper is often used for very oblique transportation.

Sprockets for forged fork link chains are available in both one-piece and two-piece designs and are almost always custom made.
K&W Transmissies manufactures the drive and reversing wheels for chains forged from solid material completely according to plan. Different tooth shapes, choice of materials, processing methods, breeding and curing process can be supplied by K&W. Designs with for example screwed-on segments, welded-on segments, dual-sided hubs and segments in divided designs are all possible. Sprockets for forged fork link chains are available in both one-piece and two-piece designs and are almost always custom made.
Forged chains - materials
16 MnCr5 and 20MnCr5 are the most common materials.
42CrM04 is mostly applied for higher tensile strength.
Forged central chain
These forged central chains are very easy to install because this can be done in a simple manner without using special tools
The main chain consists of two basic elements, the inner and outer link. These chains are very easy to install because this can be done in a simple manner without using special tools. The chain may be fitted after the course of time in the other direction of rotation, thereby prolonging the service life of the chain.
The central chains are often used for vertical transport, for example in elevators.

Forged fork link chains are typically used for bulk transport.
